Data Science Lead - Data Specialist

Role Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated systems for data extraction from various sources such as SAP, SQL, SharePoint using Python.

• Implement Python packages to extract and index unstructured data from legal documents.

• Enhance and optimize data pipelines for efficiency and scalability.

• Spearhead the integration of external data into internal datasets with precision and accuracy.

• Create scalable dashboards and visualizations in PowerBI and Tableau to aid in data interpretation for legal professionals.

• Analyze complex legal documents and datasets to extract valuable insights.

• Collaborate closely with legal, business, and technology teams to meet data requirements and deliver custom solutions.

• Ensure data integrity and quality across all processing stages.

• Guide and mentor a team of junior data scientists.

• Stay updated on industry advancements and emerging technologies.

Your Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 years in data science with a proven track record of project delivery.

• A master’s degree in a STEM field, ideally with a focus on Data Science.

• Advanced skills in Python packages such as Scrapy, SpaCy, NLTK, Beautiful Soup, Pandas, and Numpy.

• Familiarity with Scikit-learn or similar tools is desirable.

• A solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and NLP applications.

• Expertise in data extraction and text processing.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
