Cloud Operations Engineer (Azure)

For our corporate client, with an international presence and specializing in the field of law, we are looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer (Azure).

The company offers a flexible hybrid model of work -  the office is located in Warsaw, Poland.
The form of cooperation is an employment contract.

Main tasks:

The Cloud Operations Engineer's primary responsibility is the operational day-to-day support, monitoring and maintenance, workload performance, and financial management of the Microsoft Azure platform.

The Cloud Operations Engineer, within the wider Cloud Infrastructure team, will focus on the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage all aspects of the Microsoft Azure Platform.

• Respond to and manage Azure events, incidents, and requests.

• Respond to and monitor adherence to security and compliance policies.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Manage Backup and disaster recovery processes, ensuring data integrity.

• Develop, maintain, and publish technical guidance documentation.

• Support the design and deployment of new Azure-based services.

Requirements:

• Experience of operational technical support at varying levels.

• Azure qualifications required - AZ-900 Fundamentals, AZ-104 Administrator, or equivalent experience.

• Operational Infrastructure support with at least 3 years of experience.

• Technical experience and knowledge across the following solutions:

- Microsoft Azure Platform, including IaaS, PaaS, and infrastructure services.
- Microsoft Cost Management, reporting, and alerting.
- Microsoft Azure Monitor, Enterprise Apps, Backup, Site Recovery.
- Microsoft Azure infrastructure, Compute, Networking, and Storage.
- Automation experience in – BICEP, DevOps, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, ARM code.
- Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Experience and knowledge of enterprise infrastructure solutions that integrate with and are dependent upon the Azure platform.
- Windows and Linux Server OS, DNS, Storage, MS SCOM & SCCM, Certificate management.
- Identity services, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, MIM, GPO, SSO.

Expectations of Role:

• Responsible for day-to-day operational technical support of infrastructure solutions and ongoing maintenance and updates.

• Responsible for and required to manage service requests, incidents, and coordinate technical changes and technical response to reported outages.

• Support the monitoring, reporting, and understanding of MS Azure consumption charges, with financial management aligned with FinOps principles.

• Demonstrate technical proficiency, analytical working practices, and alignment to service delivery processes with adherence to ITIL best practices.

• Champion the continuous improvement of technical solutions, adhering to security and vulnerability response management.

• Input subject matter expert knowledge and experience, seeking to continuously improve service.

• Adhere to and develop our working practices and active knowledge sharing across the entire function.

• Capable of flexing approach as required, from leading technical investigations to management and coordination of tasking and technical planning.

• Engage and collaborate with third-party suppliers, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels.

• Work closely alongside Enterprise Infrastructure and Cloud Platform engineers to provide a seamless, harmonized service, supporting our stakeholders in delivering technology services.
